We are conveniently placed in Halstead, which is the centre of the area we cover. It is a small but bustling market town, nestling in the beautiful Colne Valley and home to the meandering River Colne. Halstead itself provides all amenities for every-day living - town centre supermarkets and shops to cover most requirements, with a small market held 3 times a week at the top of the High Street. Halstead has 3 junior and a senior school, library, doctors' surgery, and local Hospital, together with a thriving Cinema, several children's playgrounds and a town park There is a good variety of Restaurants and take-aways to tantalise most palates plus several Public Houses providing food and entertainment. A sports centre, swimming pool, together with football and other sports grounds and gyms are available, not forgetting ample hairdressers, many of whom offer beauty/health treatments. High Street banks and a local Building Society cover most financial needs, and for those who just like peace and quiet we are close to some of East Anglia's lovely countryside..

Halstead is located approximately 13 miles north-west of Colchester at the junction of the old A604 (now A1124 ) Cambridge to Colchester, and A131 Chelmsford to Bury St. Edmunds roads. Stanstead Airport and the M11 are approximately 40 minutes drive via Dunmow and the A120. A good bus service serves both Halstead and the villages, interconnecting with the larger towns of Colchester and Chelmsford, for direct line rail services. Braintree, approximately 8 miles in the Chelmsford direction, has a rail line linked to Witham, with some rush-hour direct services to London.

In spring many people look for properties with gardens, whilst it the autumn centrally heated flats are more in demand. Attractive villages, both large and small surround Halstead.
